Running a video analytics experiment

Running a video analytics experiment Seraphim

Prerequisites 

  1. The company is configured 
  2. The application is configured 
  3. SDK is added to the application 
  4. The first launch of the application of the tested version with the integrated SDK is completed

Event recording

  1. Go to the page Video > Experiments 
  2. Press the "Create new" button
  3. Fill in the required fields 
    1. Name of the experiment
    2. Select the application under test from the list of previously configured ones
    3. Select the version from the list (Versions are included in the list at the first start)
    4. Select the start date of the experiment, as well as its duration
  4. Click the "Create" button

In a few minutes the experiment will start. Watching the video of the experiment will be available on the same page immediately after it is recorded by the players.

All you need to do is connect the application to the system

For the correct functioning of the system, it is important that the app bundle (App bundle name) is configured. 

Further, the application can be selected when starting the experiment.

To integrate video analytics into the application, just add the SDK to the project

To view previously recorded clips: 

  • Go to the page Video -> Experiments
  • From the list, select the project you are interested in. 
    If experiments have been previously created, you will see a list of them.
  • Go to the experiment page by clicking the "View" button. 
    The experiment will be loaded, with an interactive view control. 

 

On the first screen, you will see a list of recorded sessions. The list contains

  •  Session ID within the experiment
  • Level reached by the player
  • Number of recorded events
  • Number of frames recorded
  • Number of errors and exceptions that occurred 

By clicking on one of the sessions, you will be able to view the gameplay video. Events will be displayed in the order they occur. 

The refresh rate is different for each device. Selected in accordance with the bandwidth of the device's channel and the speed of the device, so that the player does not experience discomfort when playing. In this regard, the refresh rate of frames in some cases may be small.
